I'm considering returning to the world of Saabs. Having owned 3 900s in the past, it's been 3 years now without.
The other day I spotted a 92 900T, dark green, 5spd, 3 door, 100k on the ODO. Body was good overall accept for the lip above right rear fender. Paint otherwise was extremely good. The car is a two owner originally from Reno. No paper records, although the service book is stamped consistently with the last dealer service at 95k (7/04).
Interior is good save for the typical dash cracks. Leather is very good, power seats work correctly. Sunroof has trouble closing (gets jerky, makes noises coming fom sunroof area - not from trunk). Headliner is new including sunroof portion. Upgraded radio, but original speakers (at least in trunk area) that are now crackling.
Car had cheapish tires. Two extremely worn, two in good shape.
Car drove fine. Was able to get full boost (had red APC box). No clunks or odd noises. Brakes seemed fine. AC was all there, but inoperative. No noises from Transmission, though I did not go faster than 45.
Asking price is $4900. Seems a little steep to me. Any feedback on what the price should be, and other areas I should look at?
Thanks!
