Must be going around (fuel or spark issue)

Just replaced the alternator on my 85 900turbo a couple weeks ago after being stranded on the freeway.
Last night I was stranded on the highway with another issue. Car just died at the red light. Couldn't get it started again. Managed to get it off the road but that was by chance I'm sure. Gonna tow it home tonight but it might be time to hand they keys over to someone else. Just trying to decide if I should fix it first or just let it go for pennies. Sadly it's in pretty good shape otherwise, heck the headliner is even intact!
I've got juice, full tank of gas, oil pressure is fine, and starter is ok. So that leaves spark or fuel.
Did I read correctly if it's the sensor it's a $300 part? What is the labor like on this issue?
Anyone know the usual cost of a fuel pump replacement, parts and labor?
Anyone want to buy an 85 900 Turbo that is currently not moving? :>
