The Mi16 and 900 are polar opposites in many ways!

The Mi16 is a 2600 lb tin can in some ways...build quality isn't great, so I've done a lot of insulating and resticking of plastics. My 900 is amazing tight and feels like a tank in comparison. The Mi16 has great seat bolstering to grip you, and the transmission is much smoother than the 900...although I recently had mine pop a shift linkage, stranding me on the side of the road.
The engine is truly a masterpiece of late 80s 16 valve technology. It simply loves to rev, but has a high torque peak, which means you feel a rush of power at about 4000rpm. It sounds fantastic too.
I put new Peugeot OEM shocks in it, and I think at the time, there were some of the best shocks available...the car has incredible grip and handling, yet still maintains a comfortable ride. Peugeot was known for this, and people are always amazed when I take a highway offramp at high speed.
Good mileage..32-33mpg on the highway. Very reliable if maintained. My car is an '89...so no auto seatbelts or ABS, which is actually preferred in these cars anyway.
Here's mine, and the restoration story, if you're interested...88K on her right now.
