What I see here in the San Juan arctic a lot is that a little H2O makes its way up the fuel line when the tank gets low and freezes in the line, like partway between the tank and the engine bay. The worst thing to do around here is to let your car sit over night with an empty or near empty tank. Gas dryer helps but it won't usually defrost a frozen line so out comes the hair dryer. This is kinda rednecky but you can see if your line is frozen by carefully loosening the banjo fitting on the front end of the fuel rail and seeing if fuel comes (sprays) out under pressure. Then re-tighten the fitting. There are perishable seals there but they usually are not damaged by this. You do this with the ignition off. Keep a rag handy and no smoking. If fuel is absent or only a few drops trickle out tighten the fitting, crank the engine a little and check again. No pressurized fuel means a fuel delivery problem like an ice blocked fuel line. Or a bad fuel pump relay, fuel pump, pump circuit, empty tank, etc. If you've got fuel pressure at that fitting but no go then I'd next see if there is spark at the plugs.
