I changed the primaries on my 85 900T some time back....best thing I ever did to the car...went from the 84s to the 78s...about a 6% taller ratio...now I get 75mph at a relaxed 3100rpm...and with my 2.1 head it'll hum along and get 30mpg all day.
Re: the speeding issue...I'm from Britain and moved here. I have never had a ticket...there or here...but agree with the former poster that claimed people here learn to 'operate' cars. The standard of driving here is incredibly poor and it scares me frankly that my kids are approaching driving age. They will not be doing Drivers Ed...they will be learning on a 5 speed NOT an auto, so they 'get it'. The Cops only enforce the rules that MAKE MONEY for the Towns they serve..but you can drive a car with crappy brakes and dead shocks all day!!! Inspections are about emissions...and safety comes after/later or not at all.
