That stiff ignition lock could just be really, really cold grease, but it really shouldn't have THAT much grease in there. Much more likely to be sticky stuff (sugar). My buddies and I decided that solvents and lubricants don't have a lasting effect on sugar. What often works better is; Get a big hypodermic syringe with a long needle and fill it with boiling water and blast it down the key slot. Wait about one minute and then blow down the key slot with compressed air at, let's say, 50-60 psi. If that frees it up then spray a little lithium grease down there. If you know a paramedic ask him or her to save you a (cleaned) D50 syringe (we draw blood back into them to be sure we're in the vein) and a big needle next time he or she resusitates a hypoglycemic patient. Don't break off your key!
