See, Joonyer, your problem was probably not, as diskullman has already said, your starter at all. Also you doubted your good work on the key cylinder replacement, when the clicking had nothing to do with that.
Probably your battery is just on the line between good and bad, and running it all the time kept it charged up enough to start no problem.
Then you had the car off the road while fixing the key cylinder.
That meant, no regular running and charging. So when you went to start it again, it didn't have what it took. (Also, possibly you listened to the radio or had interior lights on while you did the key work, draining things down too.)
If you live in cold climes, you're probably best off getting a long-life new battery, whether a good jump fixes your current problem or not.
