Usually, a cream color on the dipstick indicates water in the oil system. It can get there in a couple of ways. In the winter time, condensation may cause moisture to accumulate in the crankcase with the warming and cooling of the engine. Water also accumulates in the dipstick tube because there is a breather in the top of the dip stick. If the breather is restricted, it might be causing excess moisture to build in the dip stick area which in turn is mixing with the oil. If you are changing your oil every 3,000 miles, you should not see very much build up. I remember seeing this in my parent’s cars when I was growing up and they never changed the oil.
Another item would be the start of a head gasket failure causing coolant to blend with the oil in the crank case. If it were me, I would change the oil now, clean out the dip stick and monitor the situation for any turn for the worse.
