I'm beginning to think they don't really exist: All I can find about them on this BB is a lot of gushy chatter comparing exhorbitant prices, wiring, and an infuriatingly vague debate on whether/how much they are "better" than US lights.

Question 1: HOW ARE THEY PHYSICALLY DIFFERENT? Some comparison pictures would be nice... I'm assuming the bulbs are different(-ly named, at least); are the reflectors/lenses FUNCTIONALLY different too, or is the distinction primarily cosmetic? Is this just a two-round-lenses-vs-one-big-rectangle thing?

I think the snout of my '88 900T _looks_ just fine as is, but I live and drive mostly in the northern Adirondacks on a lot of twisty two-lane roads in a lot of crappy weather over some wildly variable surface conditions, and I'm starting to be dissatisfied with the headlight output, at least after every time I'm blinded by yet another trendy d*ckhead sporting twin laserbeams up front. SO I guess its time to join this asinine arms race... And as enthusiastic as a 900T gets in twisty mountains, it's easy to overdrive my lights even in the best of conditions.

Question 2: How can I most cost-effectively improve the range and brightness of my headlights? Different bulbs? Thicker wiring? Rehabbed reflectors? Or are "E-codes" in fact a distinctly different and superior design of every component?

Question 3: Is there a Biblical headlight discussion somewhere on this BB that I missed? Please link me. I just burned out after searching returned 4 pages of links to the abovementioned hype. Please (uh, sorry-)enlighten me.
