ventilation switch connections

Hi - I changed the blower motor last night on my 85 900S, and am not sure I got the connections on the ventilation selector switch right. There are 6 pins on that switch, but only 5 wires to connect. Which pin stays open? I think it's working ok with the third pin from the bottom unconnected, but wanted to be sure (and I don't have the schematic here at work with me!)
Since I initially left the bottom pin disconnected, and the full (highest) speed didn't work, it must be right, but just checking.
thanks -
I did go through two blower motors. One parts place had a 'new' motor, but it was a generic design, and the shaft was too long. Just happened to be the one I called first, and usually get parts from. After I discovered this and convinced him to take the motor back, I found another shop that had a remanufactured motor, and it was exactly the same housing as the original in the car. Actually paid $1 more, but it FITS and it WORKS!! (and was still less than online ordering from the sponsors...) Good to be able to keep the windshield clear in the winter without opening windows to keep the temperature the same on both sides of the glass!!!
