I keep remembering things I have checked..the plug wire orientation being one, done very carefully via Bentley. I will compare to my 92 also. I had a 16v that I redid the head on once and could NOT get it to start, and the distrib was 180 degrees off. This acts the same way, but I have not been into the head nor changed the distributor orientation.
I agree...orange spark bothers me, somehow, so I am going to check that again. Maybe the Saab Techs idea of a bad wire crimp has some merit. I should mention too that the car was a wiring harness meltdown case, and the guy I got it from rewired it all over the cat. Keep in mind it DID run however, so the timing cannot be too bad (?) and I put a mark on it as a reference. I also replaced the plastic nipple off the head (as I bumped it and broke it).
This has to be something simple (repeat over and over....) :)
thanks!
