Well John D, The fan gets full voltage directly from a switch on the bottom of the air distribution control when it's turned to the fat arrows pointing left/right aka. the first position. If the fan works otherwise, as you have said, then there is a problem with that switch or the wiring at the switch. The power is supplied from the fuse (#9) to the air controller by a violet wire that is paired with a yellow wire which goes to the fan speed switch. Another violet wire jumps across the air controller and is paired with a yellow wire which goes to the fan. Make sure that all of these wires are securely connected. To see the air distribution control you should lift out the left speaker and you'll probably need to remove the instrument panel too.
