The clutch SLAVE is at the clutch, on the rear end of the engine by the flywheel kind of near the distributor, NOT at the firewall. Remember these engines are in 'back to front'. The thingy on the firewall below the brake master cylinder is the clutch MASTER CYLINDER and it shares the brake fluid reservoir, which is on top of the brake master cylinder, via a short rubber hose. Changing out the clutch master cylinder is indeed a much easier task than changing out the clutch slave cylinder. The master cylinder (where your foot is) controls the slave cylinder (at the point of desired action). Cheers.
