under the dash drivers side the cruise control has a few vac. lines running , one to your clutch and the other to your break, if you have a small pin hole in a line, i can see if the temp. gets to about 145 it could weaken the line allowing for the line to let in air.
might want to take a look to see if its all good. if you have a vac line that is dry rotted it would be the first one to let air in. (air is bad)
one more thing \ the vac line for the cruise runs right under the radiator expansion tank and then enters the cab right next to the heater core, might want to take a real good look to see that the line has not been dryed out.
