marka, interesting. I have an '86 spg too by the way. Are you absolutely sure that fuse #22 is hot when the key is in run position? If not that would explain all of your symptoms. If it's not hot then yes, it could all be associated with a messed up ignition switch. I think that your "Saab Guard" is not going to interfere with the fuel system. Some guys have been known to put hidden on/off switches in their fuel pump circuits to prevent theft also. You tested the fuel pump(s) by jumping them but do they work when the key is turned? Perhaps you've already done this and it may be a litle like 'backing-up' here but, crank the engine for a minute and then crack loose the banjo bolt on the front end of the fuel rail and see if fuel sprays out (no smoking). Back to the LH injection system. If you have no voltage on connector pin #18 with the key in run position then you must find the fault there. That green and white wire goes between pin #18 and fuse #22 which is only hot in run and start. The wire is interupted only once by a 6 pole connector that is kind of tucked under the fresh air intake on the passenger side inner fender. See if it is corroded or something. You could also try jumping from fuse #22 to pin #18 (with everything connected) and see if she starts. Basically bypassing the defective green/white wire. If this doesn't get her started then probably I should just send you some wiring diagrams so you can chase the faults. Let me know. Good luck.
