2 issues-
In low gear/low revs I hear a clunk on front passenger side as I let out clutch.
If I am gentle on shift I don't hear it.
Also find that my shift stick has more fore/aft play as I load going 1-2 gear.
Could this be a worn lower ball joint(uppers are 4 mos old), a failing CV ( no clicking on turns!)or something else- like motor mounts. Shocks are 3 mos old.
Since I'm about to replace lower ball joint, whats the best way to may the separation?????
I just did driver side and it was very hard to break the b-j bolt free of the knuckle/hubeye. Pickle fork only shredded the b-j seal and hits the rotor cover. After using PB Blaster, seems that after "backing off" the b-j nut( won't clear because the hub/CV boot gets in the way) I had to really whack the hub knuckle/eye with a baby sledge to finally "tear" the b-j bolt loose of the eye, then use pliers to hold the free turning b-j shaft while I back off the nut. But I really worry about breaking the eye/hub casting!!!
Thanks for your input.
