There are quite a few multi meters now which have a "pulse duty" function which I have found to work very well to monitor the frequency valve operation. Normally the emission control range would take care of the variation in fuel adjustment after the engine is warmed up.....but with component age (such as some air intake leakage), dirty warm-up regulator, etc. the fuel mix controls can no longer fully compensate. The fuel enrichment adjustment can be readjusted to to mid-range emission control again for the short term need for inspection....but it would be best to locate the root cause which will, in turn once fixed, require you to reset the fuel mix adjustment again...
