mysaab, Well there's lots of ways to go about finding a battery drain. Did you check the light in the trunk? Here's a place to start; Disconnect the battery positive cable and place a voltmeter between the cable end and the battery terminal. With the key off you should read only a small drain at best. There are a couple of things that draw a little voltage, like 1/10 volt, with the key off. (It's even better if you can measure current with an ampmeter). If you are seeing multiple volts, like 4,5,6, or more, then start pulling fuses from the fuse box one at a time and see if the meter drops. This is kind of wishful thinking but when it works it makes the task easy. If that happens then you have narrowed the problem to the circuit which that fuse powers. If no progress then next pull relays and disconnect switches from everywhere that you find them, one at a time of course. That whole plan works on the presumption that the problem is not a shorted wire but a load (like a light) that's on when it shouldn't be. A shorted wire will (usually) blow the fuse, unless it is an unfused wire, and there are some of those too. To find that problem have to start isolating wires as they leave the battery positive, one by one, and that can be a real b**ch. It's much easier to do this with the aid of a good wiring schematic too. Check all of the easy stuff first. I got a car with this problem once that had the replacement radio wired so that it would stay on with the key off. Someone turned the volume way down and the owner thought that it was turned off but it wasn't. Good luck.
