I'm across the country in Massachusetts. I swore that I would never buy another NE car....just not worth it. So...I was just perusing autotrader a few weeks ago and there it was. '92 5 speed turbo, scarabe green....just not that many around. Had it checked out by a local indy out there and he gave me two thumbs up on it. Got the car for $4400.

Shipping is not cheap. It's going to be between $1100-$1600 depending on if I decide to go with an enclosed truck. I've heard horror stories about having a car shipped so I may just do the enclosed. Kinda stinks to have that extra expense to get the car here but.....it's a car I plan on having for a really long time so....whatever...only live once.

If I could have found the car about a week earlier, I probably could have swung the time to fly out and drive back. Too busy now though. Would have been a great drive though but I really think I would have needed at the very least 10 days to do it right because I would certainly want to stop and see some things along the way. Then again, driving across the midwest this time of year is a gamble so, in the end things happen for a reason.
