Your amp can't be that powerful if you only want to "push" the 4x10's but I would suggest using 8 GA wire as a minimum. That way if you ever up grade and go crazy with subwoofers and big box speakers you have room to grow.
Also you should hook the power right to the battery WITH a fuse inline at the battery. You do this so if there is ever a problem with the power in the car it will pop the fuse in the engine bay and not start a fire in the cabin area.
Under the rear seat is a good idea. (worked well for me until I went too big) I also thought under the rear floor by the tool kit would be nice but never tried it. Just keep in mind what ever you do amps get warm/hot and need to "breath" a little.
