I've found that my caliper is wearing the outer brake pad 2x the rate of the inner. I've lubed the h-b pivot/spring to ensure that it releases.
I have new pads to install but the caliper (after cranking well back the piston) isn't opening on the outer side enough to insert a ned pad's thickness. Inside is ok.
I've whacked the inner side(pistonside) of the caliper "0" to ensure that it averages the piston's back off but the outer doesn't get much more than 3/4 of the new pad width.
any ideas?? keep whacking???? or do I gotta buy new caliper- I've read that the inside of the piston can get a "rusty" set and this may be my issue.
Thanks for input.
