I need a definitive answer on heater hose routing Posted by Saana88 [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Sorry to beat the dead dog here, but some posters contradict other posters and TSS' parts descriptions are a little vague and they disagree with EE's not-very-well-lined-up diagram and their diagram disagrees with their descriptions. Migraine in the making!
I'm trying to get the right hoses to replace all the heater hoses (and eliminate the silly bypass valve) in my 1992 S convertible. I'd appreciate a photo or two.
Water pump upper to expansion tank? Which WP fitting, the upper one?
Water pump lower front to lower radiator hose?
Water pump lower left to heater valve upper? This is where the contradiction starts. Does this also have the side-hose to the intake manifold preheater?
Metal pipe poking out from intake manifold between cylinders 1 and 2 to heater valve lower? I assume the other end of the metal pipe connects to the 90 degree elbow under the thermostat housing.
I have Mackay hose 7545544 and that's it so far. EE doesn't seem to offer their hose number 8, the funky preheater hose.
I'd appreciate any help you could lend, maybe a few pointers to gallery pics? If not, just tell me if the above questions are correct. I've searched back 150 search results and six say one thing and half a dozen say another.
Many thanks in advance!
