92 turbo convertible
I have been dealing with a cold start rough idle problem all winter. The problem began after changing my thermostat and flushing the system. Let me say right up front I forgot to bleed the system, I did this this morning, and noticed the jar had what appears to be a trace of soot floating and I cannot seem to get all of the air bubbles out. Based on the bentleys I checked the resistance between the AIC pins and got .002 ohms. The book says it should be 8 ohms (the car was already warm). Let me say that after the first minute or so the car runs and starts great, if just the first cold start of the day.
Another problem I have been putting off fixing until spring is a oil leak from the distributer. The cap terminals were nasty I cleaned them this morning. I am hoping it will run better in the morning.
I am open to ideas and suggestions I have 156,000 miles and have had to do very little except regular maintenance. Should I replace the AIC? I will recheck resistance cold in the morning.
