Using 3M DP 420 epoxy, cleaning fins well, rinsing radiator out and drying, then spreading it on the holes. Where fans and fan shrouds collided with radiator in a crash. Used one for years. This glue really sticks.
Even if copper WERE more repairable, why plan for a future disaster that's not likely and that you're doing everything to avoid?
When copper is corroded, not much can be done for it. Ditto aluminum probably.
I like tradition, maybe even more than most, but millions on millions of miles have been put on on aluminum fin, plastic tank radiators and they haven't been proved to be junk.
So buy what you like but one doesn't seem necessarily better than the other.
Joke:
How many New Englanders does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two, One to unscrew it and screw the new one in, and the other to talk about how great the old one was.
