Hi Bogie,
I have an 85 and we have the same brakes and hubs. I don't know the specs for out wheels, but as you may know there are two major categories of wheels for the c900: those that fit the 87 and earlier models, and those that fit the 88+ models. The stock wheels for all c900s are 15x5.5. I've heard that the heaviest stock rims are from the SPG model and weigh ~19lbs and the lightest are the Magnesium "Inca" rims that weigh around 15.5lbs.
This website has pictures and specs on just about every stock saab wheel

You can also go on the RONAL wheel website and see what they offer for the c900. They show pictures of their different wheels on the car.
Lastly, you should go to the Performance board on this website and search for what people have said already. 17" wheels may be a little too big and may rub. There's someone named "GM" who posts a lot on the performance bulletin board. He has 17" on his SPG, but most people seem to look for 16" wheels or just wider 15" wheels.
How wide are your Monsoons?
