The lever thing in the trunk releases the pressure to allow the top to be raised and lwoered manually. I found the top to be rather heavy and awkward to move in this manner, but it's better than nothing.
My fuse keeps blowing, but I don't know why at this point. My fuse is in the engine area, passenger side - but it's an '87 and I suppose the location could have changed since then.
Other things which can go wrong are the two relays under the backseat (one for up and one for down I think). Also the pump itself could be bad or low on fluid. Or the switch which controls it is bad. Or the emergency brake isn't set which would cause the top not to move, or the switch thing that tells the system the e-brake is on, is not working.
I can post a pic tomorrow of the fuse location in the engine area - took me a while to find it.
I'm sure I've left something out, these people here know everything it seems!
