I'm guessing this was posted to the wrong BB. But Anders comment is right on. Saab doesn't recommend it. The DI is used to determine pre-knock and cylinder position, and there are differences between red and black DI modules.
That said, folks have used Black DIs in 'Red' cars successfully. Personally, I wouldn't, even though the Black DIs are cheaper right now. When everything is working, it's my guess that a Black and Red will work just the same. However, it's also my guess that if thing start to go wrong, and an engine becomes prone to knock due carbon buildup, plug degradation, or just a batch of bad gas, the differences may show up. The good news is that turbo engines don't knock for long. That's also the bad news.
