Stock ones may show some melting.
Easiest fix is to get new connectors from dealer. They come with pigtails.
If you're running non stock bulbs, like H4 (I think they're 9003 on new cars) when the car came with 9004 bulbs you might have to get the replacement connectors for the proper year that came with 9003 or H4 bulbs.
I replaced the stock connectors on my 87 with the saab service part several years before I switched to H4 euro bulbs. The saab service parts worked better than the originals. Of course, I had to switch to yet another connector (heavy duty bakelite from Daniel Stern lighting...google him) with the H4 euro 100/130watt bulbs!
