I've never removed any screws except the one on the drivers side heater duct. Bend the duct down and stick it under the corner of the clutch pedal. The bracket that holds the relay in question is the sanme one the heater duct screw attaches to. Grasp firmly at the point that the screw fastens the duct to the bracket and push the bracket forward. There are two relays, If I remember correctly, the intermittent wiper is closer to the center of the car, the other one is the flasher relay. It's a little tricky trying to plug it back in fishing around. It's impossible to see. You could remove the knee bolster but I've never had to. Hey, at least it's not an 89 or newer with the long bolster. My son has an 85 SPG, as old as he is. Second engine, third transmission, 220k miles. Hows your wiring?
