You'll likely have to replace whatever was damaged. I know that it is possible to sometimes swap a good catalytic converter from a recent wreck/junker but i'm not sure whether its totally legal in all jurisdictions...I have replaced exhaust components with parts purchased from eeuroparts.com; OEM at reasonable cost... I know i posted before about my experience at Meineke where replacement of the exhaust from the downpipe to the tailpipe was estimated at (if i remember correctly...) over US$800.00...so its a no-brainer get the stuff from our sponsors...
