Hello , you are wise to park the car until you find the problem. Since your engine has gotten louder I would suspect the relief valve. Mine stuck twice
after a recent head gasket job. I don't have the confidence in it yet to take it far from home. Some may be able to get to the valve directly , but I
went from the top and removed everything to the oil pump and still had access problems. Do a search if you haven't already. Swedecar offered me advice. Check your oil carefully for any metal bits that may have caused the valve to stick , then check the oil pressure and make sure you have oil up top. Good luck , bj
