Re: Rear Spring Stops - special Saab part? Posted by vsfoxe [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Rear Spring Stops - special Saab part?, LIFETIMEOFSAABS ![]() |
I've got one of those old kits in my hands. Six pieces plus directions. Two of each piece.
For each side, there is
(1) Flat Washer, 3mm thick, 1-9/16" diameter, hole is 3/8".
(2) Allen-head bolt, 1-3/4" long shaft, 2/3 of shaft is threaded, thread is 8mm X 1.25 pitch
(3) A "Cupped" washer (to fit over top of existing bump-stop, and cup down over its upper edges), 2mm thick, 2-1/2" overall diameter, 9/16" overall height, 3/8" hole.
Directions indicate: (1) Remove rear wheels; (2) Remove bump rubbers; (3) Reassemble using kit. All original spacers remain in place, cupped washer is on top of bump rubber and cups the bump rubber, flat washer is on top of cupped washer next to original spacer.
If you'ld like a picture, send me a real e-mail address and I'll send picture (I don't know how to attach anything to Saabnet e-mail).
