Excessive tranny fluid leaks? You might just fix your problem by fixing the leak(s). I sprung a leak in my transmission fluid cooler line in my first car (a '79 Buick), it wouldn't shift into 3rd until I fixed it. That may have been my first ever car repair now that I think about. Anyway, the automatic transmission depends on fluid pressure to make the shifts. So an excessive leak might keep it from building enough pressure. I assume a C900 autobox works just like a '79 Buick autobox... I only own C900's of the 5 speed variety.
