Thanks for your suggestions. I really don't know anyone with a place to work on my car. I tried to find a place last year when the shifter broke off. I even asked for help on here. I got bad advice about how i could just lift the thing out and ended up on a three month odyssey that ended in me paying someone to take out the entire floor assembly.

I live in a small town with little land and few parking spots. I am in a complex where we are prohibited from working on our cars. I don't know anyone else with a saab or anyone with tools. Even if I did, I wouldn't know where to start. I've never even changed my own oil. Additionally, I am disabled.

I appreciate your information. kelly
