You're going to attempt changing LH 2.0 to LH 2.4.2. It uses a different AIC (as you've noticed), a different AMM, a different computer, dot dot dot. I think you'll be short by eight connectors going through the firewall, and a number of fuses post-'91 moved under the rear seat. Not my idea of fun, but if you want to completely tear the donor and recieving cars apart and change all the connections, it would be a nice change.
Since LH 2.2 works on turbos, I wouldn't be surprised if you retained your existing AMM/AIC/injectors/throttle position switch/throttle body/ELCD canister etc. and install those components on the new engine, I'd rather do that.
Good for you, get rid of the slush can! You'll be amazed, plain and simple. See my photo pages for my slush-to-manual operation photos.
Uh-oh. Does your '89 have a hall sensor on the distributor, or a crank position sensor under the crank pulley? Can't forget the ignition system. Bentley says you have the sensor under the crank pulley. Good, you just saved two hours.
Be sure the fuel line from your fuel tank matches up with the newer fuel injector rail (it should).
