Had a couple of problems lately with the Spuj. The car occasionally stumbles, just briefly, but like it is completely dying, then resumes running fine. This is only a for second or two, and there seems to be no pattern as to a certain speed, either engine or road speed. The first time I would have thought it was a severe hump in the road, but the tach dived as though I had shut the motor off. All three subsequent times, the tach has not dropped like that.
The other question is whether this is related to the worsened cold start behavior of the car. It really likes to stall, as in if I let the revs drop below 1500 for the first few minutes, it stops. This means if I don't want to peel out of the driveway, I have to race the engine while slipping the clutch, and it still jerks when finally underway. I think this is seeing off my engine mounts, as the gearstick now moves as I bring the clutch up, even when the car is running fine...
Anybod had either of these problems, and what is a good way to find the dying engine mount?
