Questions on replacing front calipers on '93...

Front brakes are driving me absolutely insane. I cannot take the locking up of them any longer (2 years is enough, and I've tried everything to fix them to no avail). I'm thinking that since the calipers only cost $40 each (minus the core), I'd rather swap in "new" rebuilt ones than to spend the time rebuilding what I have. Sound like a good plan? Doing it this weekend. I will put in new rotors and pads as well.
The calipers I see are Centric from eEuroparts. Are these good? I hate knowing that I'll be getting rid of the oem ATE ones, so hopefully the Centric's are just as good.
Looking at buying the brake bleeder from them as well ($44). I don't feel like building my own, and since I own 2 Saab's (and more to come once the boys grow up), I'll be using it over and over. Is it a fairly decent one?
I will be flushing and refilling the fluid. I know I have to use DOT4. Can it be synthetic? It's really all I've been able to find at the stores.
I just replaced the clutch and slave 1 week ago. I back-filled that system (through its bleeder valve), so it has fresh fluid in it (since that fluid really doesn't mix that much within the brake master cylinder). Will I need to refresh it again after doing the brakes? Will it need to be bled along with the brakes, or is it unaffected by this brake job? Does the master cylinder need to be bled?
(btw, I searched the archives and only found topics on rebuilding pre- '88 brakes. Does anyone ever rebuild the newer style ones?)
