Whiutsaab,
On these older cars with fuel filters that has not been changed in a while, the bolts are extremely hard to remove. I just did this on my project car (1985 SPG). I was having a hard time getting the fuel filter banjo bolts off on both sides. What I did was this: go under the rear sit and remove the ties to the line that goes to fuel filter. That will give you some slack to pull the filter down a little. This gave me better leverage to unscrew the banjo bolt. Once you remove the banjo bolt on the left side of the fuel filter (facing the back of the car, go to the fuel pump and unscrew the line from the fuel pump. Now, remove the line with the filter and take it to a vice or use a vice grip and try and remove the other bolt from the fuel fiter. I did mine that way and I did not have to cut the line. Trying to remove the bolt underneath the car is a bear. Hope this helps. Let us know if this worked for you. george
