I love my SAAB, a few years back I drove my 9000t up to about 170 kph just to see what it would feel like. I was on a quiet road that I knew well, it scared the crap out of me, but in a good way. The car was cruseing and would have esily done more, down the road a car pulled out in front of me, I missed it, but only by running off the road. I was lucky and crashed pass the trees down the side of the road, I went through a wire fence and spun around untill the car stoped. Nothing was hurt apart from the car and my ego. The car I almost hit had three people on board, two of them kids. It wasn't the fualt of the car that pulled out in front of me, they just didn't see me coming at that speed. I'm a good driver, other then this I've never had a crash while driving. I now work as a truma nurse, I can tell you that if you hit somthing solid like a tree or another car at this speed you would be very unlikley to survive and the same applies to the people you hit. I walked away because the car was able to lose it's momentum over a distance, if the car stops suddenly then you continue to move fowards in the cabbin untill something stops you. The seat-belt if you if you have one on, otherwise the dash or the widscreen or then the road outside the car. At this speed a car, even a well built one like a 900 can be torn in half. The energy is transfered to your body and the soft organs inside are pulled and stretched and crushed, rupturing blood vesels, breaking bones and pulverising your brain. While the safty features of you car help, they can only do so much and no car is good enough to give you a good chance of living in such a crash. I'm all for living your life and I know risk is always present, but I've seen to many ruinned and finished lives not to say somthing. I still like to give my car a boot once and a while, but I never go above about 130 (kph), it's just not a thrill that's worth the risk. Sory to be a stick in the mud, Ben.
