It under pressure, and the best thing to do is replace it. However a good hydraulic shop sells repair kits that can withstand thousands of pounds of pressure...or the fuel line repair may in fact do the trick. 4 hose clamps might be overkill, two on each side should suffice, but don't get the cheap ones from home depot or an auto parts store. Get high quality ones from a marine shop, or industrial supplier. Also get solid ones, they last longer than the slotted type which are very weak. For added strength you might want to glue the hose on as well before using the clamps.
