Thanks, Vern! It does make a big difference... the original buffalo gray had a violet cast and the new leather covers I chose to use have a greenish cast. It's good to have everything in the same ballpark.
Plus, there was some fading in the panels over the years and this took care of that. If you're thinking of getting a Fade Away kit from Just Dashes, there are two cans of the lacquer in the kit - I used just short of one can to double coat the doors, rear panels and lower dash. They also keep your color match sample on file for future reference if need be.
