Having a problem with the shift action on my 88 900TC.
Since I bought it, the shifting has felt very "notchy" for lack of a better term. It is like there is a hitch in the shifter when going between gears. The clutch was resently replaced, master and slave replaced, gear oil replaced, and the shifter was aligned [all by the dealer -Ouch $:($]. While the clutch action is much improved, the notchy shifting problem has stayed the same. It doesn't feel like an issue with the tranny itself as I never get any grinding it is just hard to get the shifter to get into the right gear slot. It is, howver, particularly rough going into 1st and 2nd, with 3rd being almost as bad, and 4th and 5th slightly better. No problem with reverse
I have read all of the threads and I am still looking for some help. I seend a lot of time in traffic and I am finding the shifting action to be quite an unpleasant distraction.
Car has 70K miles on it and is otherwise mint.
Thanks for any guidance.
