I know I need rings. So it is why I tore apart my engine. Plus to me the compression was not correct. Today I was only able to get 30 pound s of pressure with my testing on cylinder # 3 and #4 dry. I never tried it wet. I knew I needed rings so to me it didnt matter. It needed to come apart.
So I am tearing it apart, and I am going to leave the transmission in the car, and remove just the engine. I have alrady removed everything. (head, intake, exhaust, turbo, fuel injection system, clutch and etc..) I have the engine now loose from the transmission. I will pull the block out in the morning. I found this actually easier than pulling the engine and transmission. I found it to be a lot less work in my opinion.
I am going to be going over all the vaccum lines and probably rewire a lot of the wiring harness, because most of my wires are brittle and the insulation is cracking off on them.
