Primary drive chain bearing whine?

This doesn't seem like pinion gear whine. Started approx 1K miles after a
recent clutch job - input shaft was seized - primary casing
split/input shaft cut for removal by non-saab tech, after much
vibration force excerted; ignition key/reverse lock-out torn-up, front
engine mount spacers reinstalled incorrectly, skid plate not
reinstalled, (+) batttery cable misrouted, etc., engine to trans
gasket and other areas now leaking. MTF replaced with conventional
GL-5, and appears some dirt/crude was knocked into trans box on refill
(I've since flushed and replaced with 10W-40 dino).
whine: loudest driving at steady 50 mph, in 5th on level road. noise
level increases very little, if at all, if I mash the gas. level does seem to increase a bit in 4th under moderate throttle, climbing hill.
Is this primary gear upper chain, lower case, and/or front mainshaft
bearings going bad? noise is gradually increasing. Suppose not much to
be practically done about it...
