But make sure its complete, remove the drain plug in the engine block, replace the thermostat with the right one from a site sponsor and be sure to bleed the air out of the system properly. Switch to the G 05 zerex coolant as well, its great. You may have a slight blockage because you did mention when the second cooling fan comes on with the ac, it cools off. If the block drain is stubborn and they often are, its easier to remove the cone shape housing that it screws into. Just three bolts, 13mm I think, and then you can clean it out as well as it acts as a depositry for debris. Make sure you re-install it with the proper gasket. Check your water pump visually, and see if it is leaking. If all else fails and it seems like the radiator is shot, replace it with the brass version rather than the aluminum and plastic one. Brass is much stronger, is easily repaired, and may cost a bit less. Downside is its a little heavier, and some say it doesn't cool as well but I have them in both my cars and they cool just fine.
