Hard to tell with the sort of soft focus but it looks to me as if someone replaced the stock fasteners with black-painted large-headed aluminum pop rivets of similar sort to those that hold the rubber lip riveted to bottom edge of the doors.
So you should drill them out and then tap the remains inside the door.
What you should have there (I looked at my 900, instead of winging it from memory as my first comments) are black, flattish-headed plastic rivets that have a center push-in pin that releases them for re-use.
The domed heads I remembered are on the much larger fasteners of the same type that hold the roof pillar black interior trim-padding in place.
Anyway, drill and drive out the remains of what's there, and replace with anything you like - - standard pop rivets with larger backing plates, then touch them up with black paint, would be my suggestion. Or even short fat sheet metal screws.
