My guy thats driving the car popped the covers off to access the shifter, we are thinking that since it would go into neutral that maybe it was just the shifter. He's not a SAAB man, so it was like lookin at a can of worms to him. He said that it had a lot of funk down in/around the shifter so he took a rag and tried to wipe some of it up. (looks like new motor oil???) he pulled the rag out and now all the gears are back. What could this be? Couls there be something in the shifting mechanism that could come apart to block the shifter from 1,2,3,4?
Crazy ole car
