When you move the bulb and it relights it may just be the filament connecting again and the bul is actually bad. If you have the new bulb replace the bulb. You should always replace both lights in pairs, though it is not required. My other light bulb recomendation is if you don't enjoy playing around and changing your tailight or stop light bulds do them all when you pull the tail light out. I'd rater do all the bulbs at one time (maybe $20 at the moset for both tailight assemblies than change one bulb every 4-5 months as the car gets older.
