88 spg with 1990 trans. the trans worked flawlessly before I began a restoration of the car with modifications. now, i installed the shifter, the side plate where the trans oil dipstick goes, and the shift linkage coupler nut, and now i cant move the shifter. well, i didn't mod the trans except for the installation of a small AN fitting at the side cover for oil cooler line, and also a short throw shifter. it shifted fine before so i am puzzled.
what can cause the shifter/trans to be locked up? it doesn't budge, but it certainly did before i did this work. i haven't even started the car yet, so it cant be toast. at least not yet.....
