I'm talking about under the rear seat you'll see two bolts coming up through the body on each side of the car where the rear suspension arms mount to the body. There is a welded bracket that they pass through before the nut goes on....around that bracket I would notice water weeping from the seams. I siliconed all around that bracket after I blew plenty of compressed air in there to hopefully dry it out. I'll be hating it in a few years if it starts to rot there because I sealed moisture into wherever it was coming from!
Man I feel for you. This car has driven me crazy with leaks over the years. As I said in my previous post....car is dry after a few good days of rain...this time. I'm fully prepared to check it after more rain and it'll be wet. It's just like that. I've gotten it to the point where it doesn't get absolutely soaked now so...if it is damp I just prop the carpets up for a few days and it'll dry.
Another place to check is the body drains under the car. On both sides just past the bottom of the doors when closed you will see two rubber drains...one towards the front and one towards the back of the car. Pull those out...soak the car real well and make sure they are clear. Mine would hold water in there on the passenger side. I could hear it sloshing around but it took me a while to find those drains. I have no idea how water gets into the area that they drain but....it does somehow.
Your quarter panel drains and door drains are clear right?
Todd
